Charming Bonsai Glass Sculpture

Simone Crestani’s delicate glass sculpture is the ultimate expression of his poetic creativity. “Glass chose me before I had any idea what I wanted to become,” says the Italian artist, who began learning the art of glass working at a young age. 

A complex and involved technique requiring years of rigorous study and dedication, glass working is defined by a network of meticulous rules that require special skills. These include dangerously high melting temperatures, extreme fragility, and precise timing. 

Crestani is constantly challenging the limits of this technique, pushing the boundaries of form to create objects of transcendent beauty. Natural wonders of flora and fauna are his primary inspiration, giving shape to intricate sculptures.
