Magnifissance’s French Savoir-Faire Event

An evening of refined craftsmanship

To celebrate France’s beautiful legacy, Magnifissance luxury lifestyle magazine brought some of France’s most brilliant craftsmen together under one roof, for a one-of-a-kind night of luxury, beauty, heritage, and savoir-faire on October 5th at the Payne Whitney mansion in New York’s Upper East Side.

Around 135 VIP guests enjoyed French refinement from a number of artisans: the luxury watchmaker DeWitt, the maître d’art in straw marquetry Lison de Caunes, the perfume expert and historian Elisabeth de Feydeau, and the absinthe producer and wild plant gatherer Stéphane Meyer.

Offered by the family vineyard of Béatrice Cointreau, 20th-generation vine-grower and winemaker, and CEO and MD of a cognac and champagne house, the new champagne Trésor de France, Champagne Grand Cru, was savored by guests.

Exquisite food was served by the Artisanal Bistro and chef Hugo Souchet. Creativity from design houses Guillaume Gentet and Grange Furniture gave a special French touch to the evening. The event would not have been possible without the collaboration of Frenchway Travel to bring these French craftsmen to New York.
