“Our strong roots and the gratitude we have towards our fathers, uncles, and forefathers, allow us to look to the future with great confidence.”
—Giuliano Galimberti

Manufacturing company Flexform not only leads in furniture manufacturing and design but also carries on the Italian tradition of family-run companies producing fine craftsmanship.

Established in 1959 by brothers Romeo, Pietro, and Agostino Galimberti as an artisan workshop, Flexform has grown into an internationally renowned furniture manufacturer with 35 flagship stores worldwide and, most recently, an innovative Milan showroom.

“The company’s identity relies on a system of values that set Flexform apart,” says 3rd generation member Giuliano Galimberti, the company’s export sales director. These values include timeless style, contemporary design, and unparalleled comfort.

At a time when holdings have taken over many renowned Italian design brands, Flexform faces considerable challenges as a family-operated company. Still, the owners are determined to keep their identity.

“Our strong roots and the gratitude we have towards our fathers, uncles, and forefathers allow us to look to the future with great confidence,” Galimberti says.

“There’s a sense of pride and belonging that’s difficult to explain. It’s very rewarding for my cousins and me as the third generation in the company to bring it to the next level and pursue new achievements.”

Fine Italian design

Flexform’s location in Italy is pivotal to its status as a leader in manufacturing fine furniture.

“All of our products are conceived, designed, developed, engineered, and manufactured in Italy, more precisely in Meda,” Galimberti says. “It’s in the very heart of the Brianza district, the area north of Milan where most of the leading Italian design brands are located.”

“This has created a sort of ‘terroir’ of producing high-end furniture.”
