CHANEL is renowned for setting the standard with its exquisite jewelry watches. Now, the Maison extends its legacy into the realm of high-tech accessories with the launch of the Première Sound timepiece—an ingenious fusion of a watch and a necklace in one.
Building on the legacy of the original Première watch from 1987, the Première Sound features a multifunctional design that allows the watch bracelet to be transformed into a long sautoir necklace, which can connect to a mobile phone or audio device. Equipped with wired headphones, a microphone, and remote volume control, the watch enables the wearer to control audio and video playback as well as receive phone calls.
The Première Sound retains the signature elements of the original Première, reflecting distinctive CHANEL icons. Its octagonal case is inspired by the stopper of the No. 5 perfume bottle, while the flexible bracelet echoes the chain shoulder strap of the classic quilted CHANEL bag. Enhancing this connection, CHANEL’s classic palette of black and yellow gold is featured, with the steel case and crown coated in 18K yellow gold. The black lacquered dial is set with an onyx cabochon, further emphasizing the Maison’s iconic style.
The necklace chain combines interwoven yellow gold and black leather, complemented by matte black audio cables. The removable earphones are adorned in black and yellow gold, finished with sapphire glass and the ‘CC’ logo on the exterior. Engineered for superior sound quality, the headphones feature passive sound insulation that effectively blocks out external noise, delivering a crisp and immersive listening experience.
Designed to keep wearers connected on-the-go in today’s urban landscape, the Première Sound Necklace speaks to CHANEL’s forward-looking vision while honoring the timeless legacy of its past.
