Few things capture the imagination quite like the golden age of train travel — and few brands understand the poetry of motion better than Louis Vuitton. For Fall-Winter 2025–2026, Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière invites us to rediscover that romance with The Express — a new handbag that pays homage to the elegance, utility, and sheer thrill of getting lost in transit.
Rooted in Vuitton’s longstanding love affair with the journey itself, The Express draws its spirit from the world of locomotion — specifically, the stories born between train platforms, station halls, and the luxury of a first-class cabin. It’s a fitting tribute, considering the Maison’s own origins lie in making trunks for those who wandered well.
Taking its name from the original Express Speedy of the 1930s, this modern interpretation blends heritage and innovation with ease. The silhouette? Soft, slouchy, and undeniably luxe — echoing the relaxed sophistication of the iconic Keepall. The materials are equally compelling: supple small-grained calfskin or plush suede, trimmed with classic Monogram handles and a leather key bell, all tied together by gold-tone accents and a monogram jacquard interior.
A gold padlock — always a Vuitton signature — secures the double-zip closure. Dual top handles and a detachable strap offer effortless versatility: wear it by hand, on the shoulder, or crossbody. Available in three sizes and a spectrum of sumptuous hues — including rich mahogany, two-tone ivory and blue, black, hazelnut, and taupe — there’s an Express for every traveler’s temperament.
