Art, tradition, and the cosmos come together in an explosion of creativity with the Dior Lady Art collection by Chinese artist Wang Yuyang.
Dior’s Lady Art #7 is the seventh rendition of the brand’s project, calling artists worldwide to bring their artistic interpretations to the iconic Lady Dior bag.
Wang is one of 11 contributors invited to work on the #7 project. A multidisciplinary artist whose work spans a variety of experimental media, Wang seeks to challenge the boundaries between tradition and technology, earth and space.
Working in everything from painting and sculpture to photography and video, the artist’s pieces offer new representations of familiar themes. His most emblematic work, The Moon—a series of large-scale canvases exploring our relationship with the celestial body—shaped his vision of the Lady Art project.
