Gabrielle Chanel became famous for her unapologetic, groundbreaking vision of female fashion. Now, a new addition to the CHANEL lipstick line, the 31 Le Rouge captures that bold spirit in a lipstick that breaks with convention both in formula and presentation.
A pioneering design sets 31 Le Rouge apart as the first CHANEL lipstick to be encased in glass packaging. Crafted by a Japanese master glassmaker using cutting-edge technology, its prism-like case is made with faceted glass channeling the mirrors of the Rue Cambon staircase in Paris—the birthplace of CHANEL’s creations.
Two gold-colored metal rings adorn the sides of the case. Inside, the clever design is refillable via an all-metal mechanism, allowing for a sustainable, truly timeless approach.
Made with an innovative hydrating and sculpting formula, the new CHANEL lipstick comes in twelve curated colors meticulously formulated at the brand’s Makeup Creation Studio through a sophisticated process. Micronized pigments are blended with oil, combined with cellulose powder, and enriched with opalescent mother-of-pearl for a long-wearing, intensely luminous satin finish.
The palette draws inspiration from CHANEL’s unique heritage with shades such as Rouge 2.55, a deep garnet inspired by the classic handbag lining; and Rouge Beige, a natural beige that pays tribute to CHANEL’s iconic hue.
Transcending the boundaries of traditional beauty, 31 Le Rouge boldly embodies the brand’s timeless elegance and innovative spirit.
