The minimalist graphic vision of late South Korean painter Park Seo-Bo provided Louis Vuitton’s inspiration for its Fall 2024 Men’s Capsule: a versatile collection that treads the edge between urban sophistication and laid-back weekend style.
Designed in collaboration with menswear artistic director Pharrell Williams, the capsule brings dandy elegance to Park Seo-Bo’s distinctive style across ready-to-wear clothes, leather goods, and colorful shoes, all carrying the mark of Vuitton’s signature craftsmanship.
The pieces effortlessly bridge classic and contemporary elements. A black cashmere overcoat pairs seamlessly with a gray wool tracksuit, while a refined mocha fleece track jacket adds a touch of casual luxury to the wearer.
Epi leather, known for its textured finish inspired by rippling wheat fields, features in outerwear from coats to leather bomber jackets. Vuitton’s signature patterns, like Monogram flowers or the Blason, reminiscent of Park Seo-Bo’s minimalist lines, add subtle accents as prints and embroidery.
Park Seo-Bo’s linear motifs merge with the texture of Epi leather in bags and leather goods, with each bag drawing inspiration from the artist’s Écriture series—four paintings interpreted in colorful jacquards. The vibrantly coloured bags are lined in beige, echoing traditional Korean hanji paper, each featuring a tag referencing the specific artwork that inspired its design.
Shoes, too, reference the artist’s designs, such as the LV Trainer Maxi in blue and neon green leather. More accessories, including hats, scarves, and sunglasses round out the collection, alongside a silver jewellery line.
