This time-honoured craft inspires Flexform’s new Oasis collection of outdoor furnishings. Designed by architect Antonio Citterio, the flexible seating system effortlessly blends modern design with the enduring influences of traditional craftsmanship.

Evoking the relaxed ambiance of exotic tropical retreats, the aptly named Oasis collection begins with an airy sofa, featuring a lightweight tubular metal frame coated with epoxy powder for added durability. A handwoven, weather-resistant polypropylene cord is meticulously wrapped around the backrest, creating a distinctive mesh pattern. Skilfully crafted by artisans, this technique transforms the structure into a basket-like weave that captures the breezy essence of the design. The result is a piece that integrates effortlessly into natural surroundings, allowing light and air to flow freely while maintaining a sense of openness.
