From Leather to Lipstick

Long synonymous with refined objects of travel and style, Louis Vuitton now turns its gaze to the art of everyday rituals: beauty.

La Beauté, the Maison’s new makeup collection, is less about cosmetics than it is about simple moments of joy. Each object feels like a keepsake, designed to be held, kept, and treasured.

This is not just a new chapter, but a return to origins. In the 19th century, the House designed iconic trunks to carry perfume flacons on voyages. By the 1920s, bespoke vanity cases, tortoiseshell brushes, and carved ivory mirrors made their way into travel collections. Today, La Beauté reinterprets that legacy for a different kind of journey, one that begins with the self.

At the heart of the collection is LV Rouge: a curated selection of 55 lipsticks, ranging from satin to matte finishes. The shades tell stories of heritage and nature: a burnished inspired by the Monogram canvas, a soft sienna rose dusted with warmth, and a vivid scarlet that speaks of tender intensity.

Complementing the lipsticks is LV Baume, a sheer, glossy balm available in ten subtle, buildable tints, light touches that feel effortless and true. For the eyes, LV Ombres offers eight palettes, a spectrum of textures from ultra-matte to shimmering glitter. Formulated with care, these palettes blend pure pigments with nurturing ingredients like camelina flower oil and squalane, delivering colour that is vivid and gentle.

Packaging transcends functionality to become an art form. In collaboration with industrial designer Konstantin Grcic, Louis Vuitton unveils minimalist cases distinguished by refillable mechanisms, intricate engraving, and an ingenious floral locking system. Anchoring the collection is the reimagined Vanity Trunk, a sophisticated tribute to a 1920s original created for soprano Marthe Chenal.

Rooted in the Maison’s storied heritage, La Beauté unfolds a new vision of beauty: one that, like travel, is defined by artistry, discovery, and timeless elegance.
