An Italian heritage brand for nearly a century, Fendi is a classic atelier that builds upon its illustrious legacy in the heart of Rome. But instead of merely capitalizing on past success, the luxury label is taking its designs and techniques into the future. This balance of history and forward thinking has become a trademark of the brand.

In 2015, Fendi took classic Italian history and added a modern twist by moving its headquarters to the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, a square ode to the Colosseum built for the 1942 World’s Fair in the EUR district of Rome.
In the same year, the company also completed the restoration of the world famous Trevi Fountain to its original splendour, mounting a catwalk in plexiglass on it during its 90th anniversary runway show, so the models could walk on water.

This year, Fendi catapults its own history into the future with new materials and methods. Its iconic peekaboo bag, which is meant to be worn open so the inner lining can be seen, has launched in three new styles, the Laser-Cut, Intarsio, and Interlace. These new techniques take the style of an established handbag from iconic to futuristic.
Forever a love song to Italy, Fendi’s innovative designs take on their classic shapes and push fashion further into the avant-garde.
