The Louis Vuitton jewelry line Empreinte—first launched in 2004—highlights some of the brand’s most iconic motifs. Today, this historical collection is being reframed with an all-new chapter in its legacy.
Vuitton’s artistic director of watches and jewelry Francesca Amfitheatrof presents pieces that bring a bold, modern approach to the brand’s time-honored legacy.
Clean, contemporary lines and bold shapes define the collection in a reference to Louis Vuitton’s iconic trunks. Chunky rings and pendants in 18-karat yellow, white, and rose gold are stamped with the hollowed-out impressions of trunk studs. Other pieces profile prominent LV initials, another of the brand’s key symbols designed by Georges Vuitton in 1896.
Open-worked cutouts of Louis Vuitton’s signature four-petalled Monogram Flower appear on medallions, long chains, and cords that easily transform into multi-strand bracelets or stacked necklaces.
More versatility is inherent in the hoop earrings and ear cuffs, ranging from sleek gold to diamond-studded, which can be worn on their own or mixed and matched for an individual style.
The rings and bracelets feature a crossed lace design, resembling the leather straps of the Louis Vuitton legendary luggage and hinting at the romantic ties of star-crossed lovers.
The Louis Vuitton Empreinte Fine Jewelry collection launches on August 19, 2022.
