Dive Deep into the Wonders of the Sea with Tiffany & Co.’s Summer Blue Book 2025

Tiffany & Co. sets sail once again into the depths of the ocean with the unveiling of Blue Book 2025: Sea of Wonder—a dazzling high jewellery collection that reinterprets the house’s storied design heritage in a stunning tribute to the sea’s mystique and power.

Designed by Nathalie Verdeille, Chief Artistic Officer of Jewelry and High Jewelry, the new pieces pay homage to the legendary Jean Schlumberger, whose visionary designs from the Tiffany archives have been reimagined through a modern lens.

“We are charting new paths within the legacy left by Jean Schlumberger, taking a more abstract approach,” said Verdeille. “Rather than revisiting his iconic pieces directly, we aim to embrace his philosophy and poetic vision, building upon his work to create an artistic movement at Tiffany that captures the spirit of Schlumberger’s aesthetic.” 

At the heart of this year’s collection are two symbolic marine creatures—the seahorse and the sea turtle—each rendered with generational craftsmanship and contemporary flair.

The Seahorse: A Bold Rebirth

Inspired by Schlumberger’s whimsical seahorse brooches from 1968, this chapter brings a daring new interpretation to life. Rich textures, sculptural silhouettes, and dramatic gemstone contrasts define the aesthetic. At its heart lies a transformable necklace—a technical and artistic feat. Taking nearly 1,600 hours to complete, the piece boasts over 11 carats of unenhanced purple sapphires, paired with moonstones, diamonds, and blue sapphires—a mesmerizing interplay of texture, light, and color.

The Sea Turtle: Grace in Motion

Drawing from the 1961 Blue Book archives, the Sea Turtle chapter captures the serene, fluid movement of these ocean dwellers. Turquoise and aquamarines evoke the shimmering hues of the sea, while diamonds articulate the shell’s undulating contours. The highlight is a striking brooch, encrusted with diamonds and turquoise, crowned with a luminous blue sapphire at its center—an ode to the sea’s tranquil elegance.

“With this collection, we have reinterpreted Jean Schlumberger’s work in a more conceptual way, gaining a broader perspective while diving into the depths of the underwater world,” Verdeille commented. “If I were to distill this movement into a single idea, it would be the sea and its mysteries as an endless source of inspiration.”
