Kin Valley of Fog Incense Burner
Chinese Tradition Takes on a Modern Form

Inspired by the mist-shrouded mountains of ancient China, a destination of sacred pilgrimages and religious temples, the Valley of Fog is part of the unique collection from Kin Objects: one-of-a-kind incense holders that reinterpret traditional Chinese elements with a modern aesthetic.
Each of the unique incense holders is designed by the husband-and-wife team behind the Kin brand. The hands-on process begins with detailed product sketches followed by creation of the mold; multiple prototypes are required for testing in order to achieve the desired flow of smoke in the finished holder.
Valley of Fog, one of Kin’s first backflow burners, is poured from very fine, high-grade concrete sourced from a trusted family-run business, accented with gold-tinted stainless steel. When the incense is lit, the downward flowing plume drifts gently amongst the peaks and valleys of the miniature imagined landscape, evoking mist shrouding the mountaintops.
