A passion for art was the spark that ignited actor Jake Gyllenhaal’s foray into the world of luxury porcelain and his collaboration with Italian brand Ginori 1735. One of the oldest porcelain producers in the world, the company is best known for keeping up with trends without compromising its time-honoured craftsmanship.

Ginori-1735---5

The new Oriente Italiano collection, produced by Ginori 1735 in collaboration with Gyllenhaal and Gucci’s former creative director, Alessandro Michele, is a stunning continuation of this remarkable legacy. It also draws inspiration from the archival designs of renowned architect Gio Ponti, who previously worked with Ginori, showcasing timeless old-world appeal with a modern Italian edge.

Originally designed by Ponti in 1946, the Oriente Italiano pattern takes a cue from Florentine ceramic tradition and 18th-century Eastern aesthetics. Each piece is meticulously crafted in Italy from fine porcelain that has been expertly shaped by Ginori’s skilled artisans.
