These days, a new venture with Dior is taking this journey to an all-new level of pampering as an onboard spa lets travellers rejuvenate their bodies and minds while on the move.

Following on the heels of similar spa experiences on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and the Royal Scotsman, the ultra-luxe Dior Spa carriage comes to the Eastern & Oriental Express on its travels between Singapore and Malaysia.

Known for its panoramic views of Southeast Asia’s tropical landscapes, rice fields, and ancient temples, the train is also famous for its recently renovated art déco-inspired carriages. The new dedicated Dior Spa carriage joins this elegant lineup, providing passengers with a serene and refined retreat.

Decorated according to Dior’s elegant aesthetic, the spa carriage honours the local surroundings. Walls are adorned with the brand’s signature canework, crafted from tropical woods, while the green toile de Jouy fabric of the cushions and curtains complements the lush natural landscapes visible from the train.

Travelers can choose from five spa treatments designed specifically for train journeys. The signature, D-Jungle, offers a deep muscle massage inspired by Asian techniques, focusing on stretching and energy points.

Facial services include Remodelling Kobi-Dior, which combines traditional Japanese Kobido massage techniques with Dior Prestige Skincare to resculpt facial contours and smooth wrinkles. Another facial option, Nocturnal Le Soin de Minuit, promotes deep relaxation and restorative sleep.

Body treatments feature the calming Constellation massage, which uses slow, enveloping strokes to release tension and provide a pleasant sensory experience. The D-Tissue massage targets deep muscle tension to oxygenate muscles and remove toxins.
